My original flock had 3 pure bred Ar when I got them from another local breeder. her husband sold her flock when she passed 2 years ago. I didn't have a need for more chickens at the time, so I didn't grab any more.

Hatcheries here advertise Auracana, but they will not provide any information on pedigree- so most likely EE's

My three are now nearly seven years old, and the hens only lay 1-2 eggs per week, and most I have checked in the past year have been non- fertile.

most of my easter and olive eggers come from the original rooster sneaking out the back door of the coop over the years.
Time to start some new blood lines.
