Hi guys...so I candled on day 13 (today) cuz I wouldn't be able to candle tomorrow...anyways the 2 serama eggs are developing and so are the mixed bantams! All air cells look fantastic!

Fish fry tonight? 

no not tonight.....I wanted to get out on the lake before the barometer dropped like a rock. But the guy I went fishing with was running 2 hours late. We were out there in a full blown snowstorm...but was fun....the lantern quit do we were sitting there in the dark with the storm howling around us. Managed to scrape up a small flashlight. My buddy was drinking anyway so he had fun.

I know the standard is the large carunkle on the face, I purposely breed mine with the smallest in the flock each spring. I have most of my drakes now with just a bit at the top of the beak and into the cheeks, females have none at all. nobody really notices that when they cook em though.

hey, I resemble that remark  Florida does list them as invasive, but just like the snakes and gators down there the guvmint dont do a darn thing about it. I think they are kinda cute, in an ugly sort of way. I like that they are quiet, and taste good too!

I slaughtered a few last year. The breast made an awesome jerky. I would have sworn they were beef.

Snow's gone. We were spared the last storm and temps have been 40s the past two days. It's a good week to get eggs shipped hopefully.
