HAHAHA, porbably a sex link then.That wouldn't surprise me, either. I've never had RIW's (unless this one is); are they not pure white? Mine has some light tan across the back & under the wings, neck feathers are a dirty white.
Keep a good large Mediterranean rooster with each flock and you won't have many losses to hawks.
The meds are quite agile, alert and can fly up to meet the hawk as it swoops.
Minorcas, Spanish, Empordanesas and Penedesencas are good options.
