I just hatched out 3 Bantam Cochins, and one appears to be lavender. I don't have any lavender breeders, so my only guess is that my black hen and red rooster both carry lavender genes. Is that even possible? Now I'm kicking myself for selling that rooster.

It has quite a bit of membrane stuck to it from hatching, but it looks lavender to me.
