Yes, I did!!!

Did you share any with Duckling before you kicked her out of the house?

I might need to! Her aunt is an hour late, and Duckling is sitting on the kitchen floor crying for a nap already.

You're doing the right thing. All in or all out. Anything in between can and will cause problems down the road. :thumbsup
thanks, I'm selling them in small groups to people who are only going to keep a closed flock for eggs.
My only concern is what to do with my Lavender Orpington trio. Given the value of the roo and two young hens and their eggs I don't know if I can sell them and trust they won't be used for breeding.

Retired postal carrier here. I have to say I loved my customers! I was on the same route for 15 years and some were like family, I, along with most of my co-workers went above and beyond our duties. I know a lot goes on now, more so than even a few years ago, but there are still a lot of great carriers and clerks out there. It upsets me to no end to see bad employees trashing what used to be a great company

I like KK. Use to be a big Rusty Wallace fan. Years ago I had 2 dogs. Guess there names. Rusty and Wallace. HAHAHA My neighbor use to crack up when I called for them. But since his retirement, I started to pull for....
I met Rusty years ago ....Mess paper was a sponsor then. They were big up here.....they had a function for him....so I got to chat with him....was pretty cool.

Quote: You're pretty safe taking that bet. Unless the date I set them as 0 or 8, then I suppose you could call those circles.

I (and my niece if she gathers the eggs) put a code on certain eggs when they are gathered to ID the breed or line. Then I write the set date on top of the egg when it goes into the tray. That way I can move the eggs if needed to consolidate multiple weeks into a single tray. I keep a google spreadsheet with a line for each breed and date, all totaled so I can track the fertility and hatch percentages by setting and breed. That's how I know the Welsummers are hatching a lot better this year, but the black sexlink hybrids were not working with the new roo (he's been replaced by the experienced guy from last year.
