Totally agree with you Mike!

CH work on the listenin better to what is told, then you wouldnt get us all upset and get crap for it. Get your brooder ready and go to bed... not you Mike LOL

@Sally Sunshine it appears that one of the serama chicks that pipped pecked a vein and looked like it bled a little. It is still moving...will it be alright?
if it wasnt a major bleed she should be fine.

nothing you can do about her now, if she is weak but can drink try some electrolytes or I like grow gel cause you can get a tiny lil gel ball in their mouth and they typically can eat it unless they are really weak. Hope she is ok,

Well those are 10s. So order big.

But, the chick hasn't hatched yet. I just noticed that the membrane around the shell looked "soaked" and I realized it was blood. Since it hasn't hatched yet it makes me a bit worried.

Does anyone else ever injure themselves and then FORGET about it until it starts hurting?! Or is it just me?

I seem to have dropped something on my foot in the rush to finish the coop last weekend - nothing major, but enough to make me very grumpy.

I've been up trying to design tractor modifications for breeding pens - but construction measurements, wine, and pain killers don't mix - I need to head to bed. Tons of chicken chores and house chores to do this weekend. I'll recheck measurements in the morning.

Good night, all!

No, it's not hollow, but it has a steel grid on each side for pouring on top and spraying underneath. Two people can easily carry these around. I think it costs a little more initially because of the costs of the blocks and concrete, but when finished, I'd say it's comparable and generally less expensive to heat and cool. Yes, well water.
If you're interested in any particular detail, I'll take pics for you....

In was thinking more of asking boss if he'd be interested in building a home with it. Our operation is so geared to wood that I doubt it. Only if he thought it would save money.
