Stressing over coffee n eggs is my morning mantra. :/

No pips overnight on the last 10+ to go.....urrrrrgggg!!

Can I take the chicks out or should I keep it closed? It is hard to resist the urge.

It was an awesome night of sleep! Not much over night. We are at 5 pips now. The one mal-positioned pip has knocked off a piece of shell and I see his beak working... I also see a nice blood vessel crossing the inner membrane. The other pips are where they belong.

I'm starting day 21 (I set at night), still nothing I've seen. One egg looks like it might have moved. My little girl is more impatient than I am....

We are on the same schedule - I started day 21 at night as well. Hopefully you have some day activities planned for tomorrow to keep busy!

Hi - I am not an expert - but my understanding is that as long as there are no other pips, you can transfer chicks to the brooder. Its best not to open it if there are other pips.

What is tap?

I literally put the egg to my ear, and tap it to see if anyone is alive inside. It is what got the last one to pip.
I tapped the last two eggs, and there was no answer. I will still give them time. Then I will do the float test.

Transferring chicks is what got my others to hatch! I would open the incubator to remove a chick or five, and by the time I walked across the room to put them in the brooder, someone was breaking out of their shell.

I have alot of mini lemons on my tree, so I pickled them! Pickled lemons are wonderful with tuna fish, on beef, eggs, poultry, on everything!

I have a bunch of little lemons on my tree too. it'll be nice when the tree gets bigger

It's been one year since my husband went after Duckling, knocked out my teeth, killed the baby I was carrying, then took off without a word. No. Coffee isn't all I think about. It's just the only thing I have.
