My chickens dont know the difference between any of the seasons. They aint the brightest bulb in the box so to speak.
Yes she did!
Ok CH, here is my preference and how I do things. All of my hatchers are lined with perforated gripping drawers liner, I do not remove any chicks until hatch is complete, and they go straight into brooders with pine shavings.idk, yes my mom got this instead of paper towels

NO they will be fine all together, no need for two brooders, I always keep my serama in with even my godzilla egg chicks!! they will be fine! Use papertowels over the shavings the first few days in the brooder mostly BECAUSE of the TINY SERAMA chicks! And,should I separate the serama from the ee
PEEP!!! morning sweets!![]()
Hands down, sweetest photo I've ever seen.
Good luck!Ok guys. I am off to the serama show! See ya all later
Agree!!!Go for it! You'd make a great vet.
@chicken hawk 33 This is how I do it. To make it easier, when setting up, I put down pine shavings in the brooder FIRST, and then put the paper towels on top of that. I switch out or layer more paper towels on top as they make a mess. After they're all running around really well, I just remove the paper towels and viola - they're on the pine shavings! Less stressful on them than trying to add shavings while they're in there, or taking them out to add shavings. I have them on paper towels now - leaving it a wee bit longer than I normally would because I have a little boy with leg hobbles for splay leg (doing very well, BTW).Yes, is safe but for at least the first few days, I'd use paper towels until they get strength in their legs and good footing before switching to shavings. I keep mine on towels for their first week.

can you tell what color poult will be? come on babies!!!
oh man TyAnna that sucks! so sorry
Good for you fire! I would have done the same with the pullet. These were the new ones you got shipped in? How do you incubate your shipped eggs?@sally sunshine
Hot date was awesome! This particular pullet has always been a runt and yesterday I noticed her just not acting right. This morning she was down and sluggish. Wife is gone so I doctored in my normal fashion given the opportunity.
