I think you need a coolerbator an upright one and then a coolerbator hatcher that way you can stagger away!!!!

I have had to cut way back on my incubators and hatching

It's hard to sell chicks from here and the kids are making all their money with selling hatching eggs. I try to keep up with test hatches and special orders, oh, and Seramas which I just can't help. I do think it would be fun to do a coolerbator though. At least you can fix anything that goes wrong! I'm known to hatch Serama and Peafowl at the same time and other ridiculous size differences and staggered hatches. With mixed results of course. It just seems to be what I do when I think I can get away with one incubator. Last spring I did end up having to pull out an LG to use as a hatcher. I quickly remembered how much I hate those things.

again, if ANYBODY wants to tell me what eggs they have, what day they are on, or anything else, it would help make this article more complete!

I have 29 Black Copper Marans eggs going into lockdown on Monday.

I have 10 Ameraucana and 4 Black Copper Marans scheduled for lockdown the following Monday.

I have 7 Black Copper Marans the next Monday.

And 12 American Breese shipping Monday looks like I will have a busy holiday season LOL

I have 2 Genesis 1588. One Brinsea mini and one Brinsea 20 Advance with the humidity pump and a crazy hatching addiction

course the Serama is about full sized, but the peachick has a lot of growing to do still. There are other peachicks in this pen which she does not associate with and there are other chickens, which he does not talk to.

I just had to slip that Serama egg into the peafowl hatch!

Thanks, BYC! I had asked the price for a sheet of fiberglass reinforced wall board at the local building supply store earlier today, and when they said all they had was $51, I said no thanks. I have some heavy plastic sheeting that will work perfectly in it's place. I appreciate the tip!!!

Instead of a separate membrane, I just used a fence & deck sealer/stain to protect the wood on the bottom. Keeps wetness from soaking in. Some people paint on a roofing sealer (Blackjack?) and have had really good luck with it.
