On a happy note look what came today.

That's my RSL's egg.

Also I had an awesome meet up with several other BYCers over doughnuts today and it was amazing!

April will be one year of having chickens. I am trying not to beat myself up and learn as fast as I can. It is just a struggle to keep my flock warm in these Michigan temps!! Been using a crock pot to keep fresh water available. Haven't seen my cock out for 3 days.
where in michigan....I'm at-10 in the U.P. Right now....my poor ducks are hunkered down

How about you just stop messing with them. I seriously can't believe you opened 4 eggs when day 21 wasn't even over yet. You owe Sally and everyone who has had to watch you ignore advice an apology. If I were your mother I would take away your bator and all your chickens. You are burning bridges young man and if you can't follow advice given to you you should stop asking for it.
excuse me.I got the advise to make the humidity high.and now the three that have hatched in the bator now.they all have big water bubbles under there skin.and one has it on his head and neck.that is the only reason I'm saying I'm worried.because I don't want the last one to hAtch with that.

The bubbles are ruptured airsacs from humidity being too low early on in incubation for a long period or from stress from struggling get to hatch. They will be fine if you leave them alone.

I really freaking hope you aren't poking the bubbles.

Yep, 18 Auracana I got from a local reputable breeder I was introduced to through a mutual friend. As well as six silkie eggs that my girls were hiding in a corner of their flop house! :lau
They are likely infertile as it has been colder than h3ll here the past week, but it seems the ladies were taking turns keeping them warm. None of them were cracked when I found them, all were warm.
