Is it possible for a Crested Cream Legbar hen to lay brown eggs? I have a pullet who has yet to lay (I think). She hatched from a blue egg. Her hatch mates are laying. I have only been getting brown eggs. She's almost 7 months.

my legbar took forever to lay and my aunt has one that is right now 2 months past mine and still isn't laying.

I'm guessing that's the case, but she seems so ready. She's been checking out the nest boxes for a month now. Maybe it's the weather.

@casportpony THE FENCE IS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes, I bought one of those post pounders. My incubator is holding a steady temp but it is 108... LOL so I shall poke holes.....

But, the egg does have some blood on it. The hen I am suspecting it came from is very petite and it wouldn't suprise me if this was a "big" egg for her. I checked all the hens and they seem fine. So as long as it doesn't happen consistently is shouldn't be worried,right?
