Trust me when I say I'm not afraid of anything. Been prepared to die more than once in my life, came close once and I refuse to die by someone else's hand. Not to mention it is a right, one that I put my life on the line to protect, more than once and pay dearly on a daily basis in pain day in and day out. So I will continue to do as I believe and run my company with employees having the opportunity to carry.

I've been told that I thoroughly enjoy life and work my balls off. They are absolutely correct. I work 12-15 hrs a day to be successful and when it is time to play, I play hard. I guess if you put yourself in my shoes on July 4th, 2003 in Tikrit, Iraq when I was a thread away from not having this life to live, you would understand.

FIRE.... first I wish to thank you for your service.....it's an honor to know you....even if it's just through a computer screen.
I can sympathize with you on your pain. I deal with it day in and day out. It's amazing what damage too much exposed to certain chemicals can do to one's body.
I carry everyday myself...it's my right...it's the right thing to do....I hope I never have to use my gun, but if I do I'm glad I have the right to protect myself or some other innocent person(s).....again thank you for your service.
I know I am never at loss for words but at the moment I am not sure if I have no words or too many  :hugs

A man like Fire doesn't need words....

Did'nt meen to offend, just wanted to understend, belive me South Lebanon in 85 was not less hard,
And suicide bombs all over the plase, on a daily baises, and missiles on your house and children every outer year, and random knife attaks every day, dose give me the right to say that I do understend somthing from what you refer to, I just do not understend from what YOU in the USA are worrid from?

There are crazies everywhere...but the right to bear arms is in place to defend against tyranny....one of the first things The tyrannts do is take the guns away.....

To understand, Benny, you'd have to have lived here for an extended period of time. Not to speak for Fire, 'cause he's certainly capable of speaking for himself, but some of us choose to be proactive, not reactive. We're sick & tired of having to be increasingly on guard against some fool wanting to rob us, kill us, or otherwise harm us whenever they want, and we choose to be prepared not to allow that to happen if we can help it. Believe it or not, there are actually municipalities in this country where gun ownership for self-protection of the home is required by law, with good reason, Too many of the misguided politicians in our government would have firearms banned; they can't seem to comprehend that when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns"

I'll climb down from my soapbox now, as I have no desire to turn this into a politically-charged thread, but I think you have the gist of our citizens' ( or some of us, anyway) feelings and beliefs now.

Also well said....

I have an older Janoel 48 that has a solid gray base, so I can't see in it. :( Also have the double decker Janoel knock off that I bought to use as a hatcher and NICU.

Doing another hatch experiment in the Janoel... First one was a disaster because I had a hard time maintaining the humidity and none of the eggs lost enough weight. :(

Yeah, I noticed that my eggs didn't loose as much weight as I thought they should either. Mine stayed in the 40s for most of the incubation period, and they did loose some, but I was looking for them to look like the chart. It's hard to keep it any lower because of the way the water trays are shaped. When I let it run dry it got below 10% and I was afraid that was too low. I tried just putting a little water in the tray, but I would have had to open it every day to refill and I didn't want to open it that much. I am collecting more eggs to set after these and I'm trying to figure out the best way of lowering the humidity without it bottoming out. Wouldn't it be nice if you could find an incubator that worked perfectly for you right out of the box? A girl can dream...

Same exact problem I had! One tray full = 45-50%, no water = 10%. Trying it again with no water and for now it's holding steady at 33-35%. Maybe the humidity in my house is higher this time?

hi all,
frow.gif

so i contacted the miller company (makers of little giant incubators) all the trouble i having is due to a bad digital controller and temperature sensor , so they are in the process of mailing me a new one in the mean time i have lost twenty some chicks because of this nonsense and im am hoping and praying that i dont loose the last 30 eggs in there , but at least they are replacing it and everything will hopefully be ok

Howdy. Glad you were able to get it all worked out and find the problem.

That the last round of eggs are okay.

Howdy, so anyone ever disassembled their egg turner (Farm Innovators Pro 4200 model)? I took mine apart to disinfect and cannot seem to reassemble it. Will check back later for ideas.....I have googled it. Haven't had much luck.

Maybe so. I'm going to try it dry this next time and hope the humidity gets up into the 30s. Hope you have a good hatch.
