Why can you not eat fertilized eggs that you don't want to set? Personal preference?
All mine are fertile...they eat just fine....hopefully they hatch well too...

What did the air cells look like on 18?Does anyone know why I can put eggs in lockdown and a small amount hatches? I candle them on day 18 and they are all moving then bam 4 hatched so far out of 26. The humidity is 68 percent and the temp is 99-100. this is the end of day 21.

this was day 14. The egg cells were a little larger on 18.What did the air cells look like on 18?
I have an ex SIL who won't eat unpasteurized eggs; no fresh from the hen. Takes all kinds....I have several thoughts on that subject, but I was simply say that it wasn't something that I rushed into trying. Then again, I had never had fresh eggs until I got chickens. Come to think of it, I don't think I ever saw an adult chicken until I got chickens!
