Another question, they are five days old today. Can I move them to the big brooder with shavings?
Good morning everyone and thank you for all your birthday wishes yesterday. I was out all day though with friends, so I was not on much.
Have a great day!
The hatch is not going very well on the treated eggs. Hopefully all this is about done.

I would move them out. My brooder is outside too, and my chicks go out straight from the incubator, I've been hatching pretty steady since January 1st. One batch of chicks was out in the brooder when we got 14" of snow!

Good morning everyone :frow

@firedragon1982. Congrats on your new ducklings and upcoming geese. What breed are the duckling? And how do you sex new hatch duckling?

I'm sorry you're having so many issues! I really hope things turn around soon. My week old chicks are in the big brooder and are fine. The brooder is even out in the cold coop and with the heat lamp and a box/hen they made it through.
thanks, I moved the January 21 bunch out this morning. I will clean and move these when I get home. They are upstairs and will be until next weekend when I can clean and treat the main coop. I just wanted to be sure they are old enough for shavings. The Christmas and January chicks are now over flowing the chicken tractor. It is good they are not full grown since it is made for 8 lf and there are 14 of them.
Tao how is your build going?

What a couple last days! How's everybody been? I'm not reading back so I hope everything is great! The pups from Germany hit KCI (Kansas City International) on Thursday night at 9:45pm. We went up early in the afternoon to shop a little bit, eat dinner and check into a hotel. Picked the pups up and went to the hotel. We didn't get into any big hurry making the 3 hour trip home yesterday either. Kinda nice for momma and I to just getaway for a bit. Anyway, busy getting caught up around here since it is so nice we decided to invite some friends over for the fire pit and drinks tonite. Well, fired up the smoker to throw a "fattie" on. It's a pound of hamburger, pound of spicy breakfast sausage mixed together and flattened out. Then onions, cooked bacon, jalepenos, pepper jack and spread onto the meat. Then roll it up and basket weave bacon around it. It'll smoke for a couple hours and then brush BBQ sauce and cook until it is done. Might do some deep fried deviled eggs too if I don't drink too many Bud Lights before everybody gets here.

I'll go get a few pics of the pups here in a bit. They are enjoying being outside right now.

Any good ideas for a huge T-bone from one of my steer? I thawed a pair for my birthday.
