English Pointer? You happen to know her bloodlines?@kwhites634
This is Chopper. She is part of the reason that I went out with my husband! I saw her in the pickup. She was so beautiful, I just had to have her!
She was such a great girl! I was able to train her so easily! While all I did was teach her basic manners, and strengthen her recall, it was just so easy!![]()
yes, it looks like the vent is infected, and it is hard around the edge with oozy maybe. From the picture it looks like She has also lost a lot of chest/abdominal feathers which could suggest chronic diarrhea/dampness underneath. Still think GI infection and Cocci would be most likely.cockrel born 1/21, and put outside for the first time last weekend![]()
Yes, she was. No, I don't know her lines. She was born about a quarter-mile down the road, but the owners are gone.English Pointer? just my luck. I will start corrid with the morning water. It is my fault for putting a small food and water dish in the tractor coop itself because I put them in with ones 27 days older and wanted to be sure they could get food and water since I only had one covered place for food in the run and it has been wet. Between that and the rain it was damp. I put in new shavings, cleaned the vent and put on a blue antiseptic. It did not look bloody, just that icky smelly whitish pasty poop and hard near vent.If that happened in just one week of being outside I would absolutely start him on Sulmet. It will cover cocci and other bacteria. Corrid would be ok too but I think Sulmet works x10 better.
Does he feel skinny?
Sorry to see you have yet more issues
From the look of her, she may very well have been from the Elhew line, developed by Bob Wehle, of New York. they had the blocky head and prominent stop, and most of them, in the 60's & 70's anyway, were about the only white & black Pointers around They excelled in the show ring and in field trial competition.Yes, she was. No, I don't know her lines. She was born about a quarter-mile down the road, but the owners are gone.
