Hi Sally, I promise to give a full update after I lock down my day 18 eggs and candle the easter HAL eggs on Saturday. So far 2 of my broody hen's eggs have hatched. 2 healthy, strong chicks. They have been moved to the inside brooder, since they escaped their broody hen area and were running around with the big guys. I was afraid they'd get run over. If we can make the broody area more secure, I'll put them back out with the moms. I'll check tomorrow for any more babies. Both hens are staying put, but we are ready to grab and candle any eggs they abandon!.

Anyone want to see pics of my pheasant chicks?

Help!!! Lil Bit seems lethargic! Everyone else that shipped in yesterday seems fine - I worried about Lil Bit because she's SO TINY...today she is just laying there...breathing seems fine but can't get her to eat or drink yet today (she did yesterday) thoughts??? Is she just tired?? What can I do??

All the other chicks seem happy and are running around eating, drinking & snuggling...

She died...RIP LIL BIT...I think she was too tiny to handle the journey

Here are a few of my chicks I am trying to identify. 3/1 hatch most are pullets except red rangers and ccl also Lavender Orpingtons and EE are straight run.
Choices red rangers, rir, Leghorn white and brown, golden nuggets, ISA brown.

I snuck up on them a few minutes after fresh food and water. Can't remember who asked, but the roo is helping.

YES,I don't have anything to make a frame.I have it underneath two shirts.but it isn't warm.It's a 75 watt.

Ducks don't take that long to hatch
