Thanks everyone, I'm starting to clam down about it. He still drinks and eats and it doesn't seem to bother him when I clean it so that's good.

Hi Everyone, love all the pics! The babies are all so sweet. Here are my babies...including their injuries
sad.png

This is my little roosters owie, it's healing.
This one is on one of the little girls. I don't like that red coloring around the edge.
This another little girl. The skin was never broken but her head is still swollen.
Picture from the front.
This is a blue partridge brahma. Not sure on the sex...any guesses?
This is a female chocolate orpington.
This one is a buff/red orpington. I'm pretty sure it's a girl but wouldn't place any bets on it. She has barring coming in on her feathers.

@sally sunshine
I didn't forget, I lost it!

Wasn't where I left it.

Whoever said whatever about the fishmox, I use it myself, but I hardly get sick anyway.
If it doesn't help after 3 days it's viral anyway, in which case colloidal silver takes care of that.
I have one bottle of colloidal silver labeled just for chickens

yokel...best place to purchase the silver? (inexpensively?)

@bejammie
I get mine here, when there is a special.
Last time I bought five for 40, free shipping. You have to watch for em tho.
You can make it at home, but I don't trust it as I don't want agrygia. (Spelling)

I have found its best to NOT close up wounds unless you can insert drain tubes, and who can do that? not me so I let them open and just keep up with oral antibiotics and Veterycin spray
X2, but I use chlorhexidine or betadine instead of Veterycin. Not saying one is better than the other, I just prefer them and happen to have a gallon of each.

Day 7 candling did not go well, no clear signs of development, a couple blood lines and several clears, hoping I just missed the deleting chick. Keep your fingers crossed. Think they might not have been packed very well.
