Figured I would get my 14 day candle out of the way BEFORE my second beverage

First the bad news, all silkies were clears. I guess it is time to put the new Roo in charge and 'retire' my other one. Haven't had fertile silkie eggs since December.

Also found 3 definite early quitters, and have three others questionable (Easter eggers, really dark shells)

So my update is 3 leghorns, 4 Easter eggers, 5 Columbian rocks going strong at day 14, 2 leghorns & 1 CR still in bator, but not hopeful.

I only have 2 fertile marans eggs in the bator. They are my last chance at getting a dark egg layer. Fingers are crossed.

I can get some vetricyn tomorrow, I'm out. Used it all on the horses. I can't wrap it, if I try from the front she can't walk, if I try from the rear it slides off. I'm using equine vet wrap, no luck. The only one messing with it is her, she didn't really bleed, and it's under her wing so the others haven't noticed. I hope she is ok, I worry about cat claw bacteria.

We have 15 chicks so far! 1 starting to hatch and 5 more to go. Hatch day officially begins in a few hours.

The chick from yesterday with the umbilical cord issue is doing great!

I hope so, it's been an ongoing battle with the notes and hatching guide. Mainly seen when trying to update articles. Sally had told Nifty chicken about it and it has worked better. She sent him another PM about now.

I have a copy on computer if I can find it. 

I need to print a copy put myself....I fixed my printer the other day just for that reason but I haven't gotten around to printing out off as I'm never on my laptop...

Ever wish you could say something, but you know that you shouldn't? Not that it's a bad thing. It's just not something that should be said.

Sure you do; you want ducks like yesterday. You're about to burst with anticipation. You can't even sleep right for wanting them. When you do sleep, you dream about them; their cute widdle, doggie / kitty faces; the soft, pleading eyes just begging for attention, wanting love, the soft, fluffly fuzz, all of it. You can't put off the inevitable; you have to do it now.  How am I doing so far?
