Morning everyone!

I thought I'd be driving to the PO to pick up some chicks today, but nope. The hatchery took my money, sent me an invoice with a ship date on it (the 30th) and I haven't heard a thing since! No confirmation email saying they shipped.....just nothing! This is ridiculous. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again :barnie

Morning. Sorry to hear about the hatchery troubles. I'd give them a call.

Cool Benny!

Here is a cross post- sorry if you've read and responded on the other threads, I'm trying to get as many opinions as possible and this is the most active thread!

I am raising a mind flock complete with: CL, Bielefelders, BCM, Australorps, golden laced wyandotte, lavender Orpingtons, lavender Cochins, olive and Easter Eggers. I'd like to two cockerels (maybe three) but am trying to decide on which one: BCM, CL or a Bielefelder...or all 3. My flock, with them included, is at 25. All 3 are still young~ between 6-10 weeks, so they're all sweet. What is everyone's experience with their Roos? Means and Biels seem to have the best reps... I'm also contemplating the lavender Orpington or Cochin just because they're so pretty and my girls are gorgeous!

my Lavender Orpington was very nice.

Me- "Em why does your doll have my pencil...?"
Em- "it's a shotgun..."
Me- "Wow why does a doll need a shotgun?"
Em- "she's going to kill the water bottle zombies..." (Giving the evil eye to 3 water bottles on the table...)

This girl slays me! Her imagination is amazing. She's also the one that insisted our Franken-chick that was on death's doorstep, would live - and it has.

Her teacher also told the hubby she was in front of class telling people a bear came onto the farm and her daddy shot it (uhhh we don't have bears here lol)...& the other day, she told me someone brought a real stingray into class in a jar...)

It's never dull living with Maddie-Moo...just had to share lol...

Did the teacher also tell him that she hoped that that he didn't actually have a firearm in the house with a child? Like an inanimate object is going to decide to harm someone. My kids both grew up with several guns in the house; never once did they ever touch one, except my boy, when I taught him to shoot & took him out of school to hunt the opening day of deer season when he was 14 (which prompted a nastygram from his teacher, but that's another story).

@Jessimom

I just read all through... So sorry about your BFs dog

I texted you before I read... Great news about the pips! Thanks!!!!

She is hatching them for my neighbor, everyone... Great crazy chicken lady... Great person! Another neighbor's dog jumped his fence and attacked his Wyandotte flock. He is so grateful.
