Morning everyone!


I thought I'd be driving to the PO to pick up some chicks today, but nope. The hatchery took my money, sent me an invoice with a ship date on it (the 30th) and I haven't heard a thing since! No confirmation email saying they shipped.....just nothing! This is ridiculous. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again

What hatchery I plan on ordering some chicks later today and don't wanna use the same one

So one of zephyrhills wild rooster has my yoda in his sight , he hasnt asked me for permission to court my little yoda but my neighbor caught them dancing ,and he said he tried to scare the boyfriend away , so yoda has been sent to her room and her little boyfriend is hanging around he is a nice looking fellow but this whole desperate little puppy dog thing is kinda sad lol

Oh no! That looks messy. Have you opened it up to see how many were broken, and get the ones that aren't cleaned off? It's easier to clean them when it's still sticky.

Did the teacher also tell him that she hoped that that he didn't actually have a firearm in the house with a child? Like an inanimate object is going to decide to harm someone. My kids both grew up with several guns in the house; never once did they ever touch one, except my boy, when I taught him to shoot & took him out of school to hunt the opening day of deer season when he was 14 (which prompted a nastygram from his teacher, but that's another story).

This is Texas lol and where we are, no one is going to complain about guns ...teacher prob gave her a high 5! And they teach gun safety at the schools here!

OMG, Linda! I hope you opened them at the Post Office and filed a claim. How were they packed? Thrown together in a plastic bag and twist-tied? That's horrible!!!

I believe it was Cackle Hatchery. Delayed shipments aren't all that uncommon, but an email stating such would be nice. Can't rule out USPS in this situation, either. Things happen, and it's best to wait and find out where the problem is before placing blame on one or the other. The guy I got my BR eggs ordered his flock (100+) from Cackle, and only lost one bird. Most people are happy with Cackle, but like I said, things do happen. If it turns out bad, they will make it right...
