Looking like I'm fishing in the snow today
You can trim down the cartons so they barely hold the egg. After going to Incubating eggs 101, and pondering, I've decided that the first 4 eggs, which are small will be hatched in a "make shift nest" that will keep them as upright as possible, with largest portion of air cell facing up. I don't want to put them in cartons because with them being small, I don't want to risk pip occurring in position that will be occluded by the wall of the carton cell. The next group may very well stay in their carton, since my best hatch last year occurred upright. My gender hatch may be divided into an upright and a laying down group.
That's cause I'm a thread killer.Wow is it really that slow here tonight?
That's cause you're fancy. You said it was fancy meeting me here, and this is where I always am.
Aren't they supposed to be plucked and eviscerated before boiling?
I had a battery less than 6 months when I left the radio on in the car overnight. It was completely dead in the morning and the charger couldn't resuscitate it. In fact, the fancy charger reported that it was a 6 volt battery. Not, it is a 12 volt. I took it back to the Batteries+ store. They said it was my fault and when I protested, they said they'd replace it this time but not again.I'll give that a shot tomorrow, & let you know the outcome. If the battery is shorted, WallyWorld is going to hear about it. I bought it there, & they're the one who told me yesterday that it's good.
X2Wallyworld ...... The 'tech' probably did not do a load test on it. That would have indicated a short.
I can't tell you how many times I have seen a 'licensed' mechanic test a battery and say it was good because it shows twelve volts on the tester, but didn't know you have to push the load button to actually test it. It's sad, but most techs these days are replacement artists, not trouble shooters.![]()
Depends on the ambient temperature. Watch them. If they huddle they're cold. How long can i have the partially feathered chickies out of the brooder?
EDIT: they are 3 weeks as of tomorrow.
Read this.I have a problem.I just came home from a whole day of fishing and the bator was at 97.5 will the eggs be okay
Still?I'm not Westley but good morning anyway.... I'm still up
When I see grossly erroneous and harmful information, I correct it. About 30% of the time people get mad at me.There is a good reason I'm afraid to answer questions. Some of the crap that some people say is so wrong, it could kill a chick!
Someone(a newbie) told another newbie to keep the incubator at 95* for five weeks.
That's so nice.
She's always hot, regardless of where she is.What's your temp ? Outside that is?
Not wearing any. You know better!Did you pee your pants?
I've... Done other things in the snow.I've golfed in the snow before. Does that count?

Referring back to the garden hose stuff from yesterday, I found a site with longer PVC free/lead free hoses for about $1 a foot. They only have 25 footers at Lowe's and they're $2 a foot.

Most are polyurethane. One (pricier one) is nylon with a galvanized steel outer shell.
