Was trying to reply in a quote but I kept losing it. Truck is a 01 Ram 1500. The plan was a simple seal replacement that turned into seals and bearings. Eventually progressed to a complete rear end rebuild. Pinion gear has chunks missing from the teeth. If I had known from the get go I would have prbly opted to replace versus rebuild. Cost would have been comparable but replacing would have been quicker I'm sure.

Isn't R&R the norm in most shops anymore, anyway?

You got to understand; Benny's used to cooking for the entire Israeli Army, or so it appears in most of the food pictures he posts  

If that's the case the Israeli Army eats well.

When I was in the army the times that we were out of camp we used to eat rations, that we called them "battle rations"
It was awful stuff especially the cand bulibeef or cand meatloaf the only thing yiu tasted was the pervasive material.

When I was in the army the times that we were out of camp we used to eat rations, that we called them "battle rations"
It was awful stuff especially the cand bulibeef or cand meatloaf the only thing yiu tasted was the pervasive material.

It is the same for the military here. They are served MRE (Meal Ready to Eat). I've heard some are better than others.

MRE's aren't bad. Well, as long as you don't mind not being able to chit for weeks on end anyway. Vegetarian has the best sides and deserts but Spaghetti was the one everyone fought for.
