Is the picture okay? I didn't like the duck swimming in my coffee.
I LIKE your picture. Duck swimming actually looked like whipped cream on hot chocolate. Good morning MC

OOOOHHHH! Yeah, I get called a lot of names. When I first joined BYC, I couldn't figure out why total strangers hated me so much!!! Easy Bake, Chick Killer, and other bad names too. I get sworn at a lot also! Did a bit of moaning and groaning myself last night. Had an interesting assist: Pip at 4:30 PM. Started zipping, then stalled. I decided to take action at 9 PM. Glad I did, and should have done so before. But, I've learned that an assist early = death. This little chick was dry. She had completed 1/3 of her zip, and then got stuck. She had a huge bit of membrane stuck in her beak. It's a wonder it didn't suffocate her! I started peeling shell, and had my bowl of water ready for a hot tub assist, but didn't need the water, except for removing a few persistant pieces of membrane. In retrospect, I should have done my usual hot tub assist. She got hypothermic. Right leg was tremoring a good part of the night. Her left wing is droopy this morning. She and her older sib have been moved down to MHP. Older sib attacked the water, as she hatched 36 hours ago! Time will tell if #2 will need to be culled. I turned off fans in both bators to help with humidity. Don't understand why, but had a spike to 104 in the cooler bator, and a drop to 90 in the styro bator. Not happy about that, and hope I didn't loose any chicks because of it. Staying home today to keep an eye on things. 4 pips in second batch of shipped eggs, one malposition/wrong end. (their due date was yesterday) (styrobator). Some internal pips in my eggs that are due today. (coolerbator)That's a side effect of being called "lazy gardner", I s'pose.![]()
Must give you a good chuckle from time to time!
