Not much to read from yesterday. Even after I got home from bowling I was only 20 posts behind
 
I go thru a couple of milk jugs full of green tea / week. What are they, half gallon or gallon; whichever. Of course, that's in addition to at least 1 cup of black coffee / day...gotta have my coffee...makes the whole day better.
They are gallons. I brew mine.
My daughter made it tougher when she brought coffee back from Costa Rica. She knew I quit so she didn't bring as much back as she would have. She brought me some flower seeds and an Imperial t-shirt. That's the national beer.

We have been getting great rain. It has been a steady rain but not too hard for several hours followed by several hours of grey but dry. This has been the cycle since Sunday night. With temperatures in the fifties and sixties and more of the rain at night it has been nice.
Did you see my question for you about what you use to band your birds from chicks to adult (LF)?

It has been really dry here. All the rain dries up just before it arrives. 50% chance today and tomorrow. 50s at night and 70s/80s during the day.

I thought I answered but here it is.
I use colored zip ties when they come out of their pedigree bags. You have to check them weekly at first to change as they get tight. I put them on just tight enough that I can't slide them over the feet.
I have about 10 different colors and if I need to identify more than that I can alternate legs.
By about 3 months or earlier, I can get a numbered size 7 bandette to stay on them. Eventually, adult hens get a #9 and roosters #11. I usually reserve #s 1-20 for roosters and 21-100 for hens.
I use the same bandette color code as for queen bee marking. Each years birds get a different color. This way I can tell a bird's age from the leg band. With anywhere from 40 to 100 all black birds it's all I can do to tell them apart.
Last year's birds were blue, 2016 get white.
This is the bee code and a mnemonic helps remember it.

I loved the taste of coffee. I don't miss it though. I still make a small pot for wife and son. I keep a few different green, white and herbal teas and I brew a pot every morning.
Quitting beer is my next challenge. That one will be tough. I think that's my last vice.
