INCUBATING w/FRIENDS! w/Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs No problem!

I have a question. I have had eggs in the incubator for 15 days. Yesterday one of my Cochins went broody. Would it be possible for me to take the eggs that are in my incubator and put them under my hen? Or should I just leave them in the incubator for the remaining days? Not sure if it's relevant but this is the first time my Cochin has gone broody.

you can try it but keep an eye out when you do so check every few hours and then for say a day or two. I wouldnt do it if they were UNDER 10 days old unless you incubated horizontal, but at that stage I think your good to try it. or at least a few???

Not a lot yet. Sitting here sucking on my coffee, waiting for it to warm up some out there. There's just something inherently wrong about having to wear a coat or jacket to work outside in mid-April in MD.

All I know is you precede the username with @ ( @kwhites634 ) and I get the post. I've seen others say they get an email alerting them that they have a message; I've never gotten one

What I was telling you is that St. Croix makes their rods in Park Falls WI & sells the 2nd's for far below normal price. I looked at one when I was there last year that normally sells for $100+, for $30...nothing wrong with it as far as I could tell.

I thought perhaps if you were going near there or know someone who is, it might be worth checking out.

@kwhites634 and everyone else, please don't think I'm saying that an uncovered pen is okay for ducks because birds of prey won't attack them. They sure might, and it's something I'm willing to deal with, but if I had some sort of fancy duck(s) I'd probably keep them in a 100% predator proof enclosure.

Looks like I've missed quite a bit and will need to do a read back
Before I do that, @Sally Sunshine you've asked me for an update a couple times (I sowwy! I was waiting to set to see how many I had)
I ended up setting 16 shipped BBS mottled bantam Cochin, 9 shipped bcm's and 8 of my own BBS copper Marans between the 2 bators. Hatch is due 5/11
