#1 son got caught in Donner Pass in his big rig while a new driver. Yard guys hadn't made sure a good set of chains was on board, & the cops wouldn't let him move w/o them. He was able to make a passable set out of busted ones, got off the mountain, only to see residents mowing grass at the bottom!

Oh, I thought you meant the bus bombing in Israel.

Yeah, there were a bunch of execution style murders in Ohio (apparently all members of the same family), and then there was also a mass shooting in Georgia as well. Bad stuff...

Good Morning all!! Just popping in to say hi. 32 chicks have hatched, 5 eggs left in the 'bator, 3 of which were set 2 days later than the rest, so they still might hatch.

I'm off to a mud run this morning, but tonight we are heading 2 hours north, taking my daughter to her first drive in. They are playing Jungle book and Zootopia. Hope to catch up on the thread some time tomorrow!

OK, off to go set out some fly traps - the main ingredients in the attractant are sucrose and "putrescent egg solids". Guess I know what to use to replace the attractant...

And yes, it really smells bad...

Okay, one of you DIY construction types, let me see if I can phrase this so one of you can understand:

Is there a right way & a wrong way to brace posts so they don't rack out of square?

I'm putting my new coop on 2' stilts, & i don't want them shifting.

Does it matter which end of the brace goes up & which end down, as long as it runs from the top of one to the bottom of the other?

There is a big difference to me between knowing I have mice in the barn, and actually seeing them. I think I will find some traps. Are the bait stations in the little plastic housing ok? I mean, is it OK if someone eats a dead mouse?

I've heard that rats prefer dead; not sure about anything else.
