I went to put things away, and ended up building/arranging some more. Let me tell ya! Splinters in between the fingers hurt more than the palm. When I got a splinter in my palm about a month ago, it hurt every time I moved my hand. That pain was nothing compared to this! :hit

You don't have work gloves?? :hugs

@ChickenCanoe

A trick I learned from my neighbor if you put the chickens head under your arm next to your body they calm right down. Nope never had one bite.

You've never heard these wild birds scream. They really aren't normal chickens. I've tried everything from covering their head, holding upside down, whatever. They just keep on screaming even holding the beak closed.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Busy afternoon of getting nothing finished, but quite a bit done. :D
It took two swipes with the clippers, but the dog is shaved down… For the most part. He's so tiny when he's shaved. :love

The summer coop is coming along. I adjusted the fencing, fiddled with the run roof, and worked on the housing. I never screamed, and rarely cried. I even got most of the splinters out of my hands!
Three of the ducklings and "mama" duck wandered into the duck run. I caught a picture of the ducklings being watched over. The other two were by another water bowl outside the fence. All five were in with the mama, but I missed the picture. The drake follows me around. When I went for my phone, she saw him, and got up to be with him.

Good progress.

I mowed the weeds around the house and garden and coops. I've not planted anything yet but there's stilll daylight. Feel better this week than last.

Them some wild birds. :lau

Even my craziest will calm for me. Although when I first catch them I'm sure the neighborhood thinks I'm beating something or someone, drive me nuts

Almost forgot. Squeeze their throat much like a roosters crow stop would do. Of course they won't get air for the short time you do but it tends to get their mind off being grabbed. Might work. :idunno

I have a polish frizzle rooster that I really want to keep, but I have no idea what ladies I should put him with? What cross out of a polish frizz would people be interested in buying? Or would they at all? I'm no genetics guru either, so I have no idea what to cross with what to get what. Haha

Have? Two pairs! Like? No. They get in my way when I am trying to pick up something tiny.

Good progress.

I am very glad that you are feeling better! I am fortunate to have a landscaper that does all of the mowing and trimming for me. Pruning is extra, but I had him do some of that too. I should be able to get some plums again this year!
They make a tool for that

Yes, it's called a husband.
