Get off my lawn
By the way, did I mention I have chicks? Like any proud parent, you know I had to take a video of the new arrivals...![]()

You got 11!!! Yay!!!! (Is the hatch done?)
Do you have enough "unrelatedness" to get a start on your own program? I'm pondering that with my German New Hampshire chicks I just got. I ended up with only 7, with 4 boys and 3 girls. While I'm crossing them in with my Naked Necks, I also wanted to maintain a pure GNH group here and breed them on a small scale. I'm worried they're all brothers and sisters (and numbers are so small) - may get more chicks or eggs from different parents from the breeder this fall. Oddly, I have a genetically diverse and great looking group of 10 Marans chicks: variety of Blue Copper Marans, two unrelated Black Coppers and one Splash - perfect to start a breeding program, allowing for darkening and lightening of the "blue" as needed. Except..... I don't have a desire to set up a BCM breeding program!!!

I want GNHs crossed with Sweetie and Tank!
