LOL! Duckling loves her new step stool! It's for seeing the chickens out the window. And then she gets to toss out scratch.

I get to be on here- kinda. She still has my attention- while she is calling for the drake.
Just make sure she doesn't try to climb out......I know Monkey would try.

We had to drag the kids around for progressional pictures and then to the auditorium for a rehearsal. Actual recital is this weekend. This was AFTER the town kindergarten went over an hour away for the zoo today. I had a screaming, kicking (didn't get a good nap) nearly 20 month old in tow and a dance team of 5 & 6 yr olds. We just got home...I'm a sweaty disaster from chasing him all over...I ate the last brownie and I think I may need a shot of vodka after all that. Stick a fork in me!!!!

Still proud of her...but hoping for something more low key next year...like karate...or NOTHING...

While I was sitting here waiting for pips, I had a thought. So far, quite a few of my chicks (11 total) has hatched at O'dark thirty, or close to such. Is there a connection between light and hatching, or is this completely un-connected? Just wondering.

It happens. I was actually happy we got some rain today and both kids games got cancelled. We homeschool but still do sports and other activities for the socialization aspect. Have something 5-6 days a week most weeks and often it's games at different locations at the same time.

That would be interesting...for me, my first hatch started pipping and hatching in the middle of the day, while the next time around, the first pip was in the evening around 8pm and didn't hatch until around 9pm...(incubator was in same place each time)

Don't know what we will do when the twins get here.

I think it's a similar idea as "watching the grass grow" or "watching paint dry" we watch the incubator almost nonstop during waking hours but have a longer gap while sleeping for stuff to happen. Just my un scientific based opinion.

That's how it's been for us and I'm just beat...soccer, karate, church choir, kids church group and separate church events - Friday usually ends up being our only day we don't have something going on - I'm just ready for a break lol - but then we start swim lessons next haha!

Yep. I can relate. One thing ends and you might have a week or so break before something else starts.
