Okay, eggtopsied. After thinking about it, I knew I'd regret not knowing if there was anything really informative......

All were dead, the wyandotte was stinky dead.

No evidence of anything that physically would have prevented hatching. They had big yolk sacks. I'm leaning towards improper tempature at lockdown, which would explain why only the bantam hatched....

Nope.

I don't mind questions!

Too high, I think. Pretty sure I measured temp at too low a level for LF...... I think I have correct height for when they are in the turner, but I was brain-dead and didn't think of the fact LF are bigger than bantams (which I had measured for at my last hatch) and therefore need higher level measurement when they hit lockdown.

Lesson learned...

Good for you. If not opening them immediately when they quit, all you can learn is at which point of development they quit. That tells you more than anything.
Look for pictures of embryo development at each day and you can come close to determining when they quit.
Then use this link to determine possibilities.

Temp, humidity, turning, ventilation and storage conditions are the first places to look. However, I think too many overlook breeder nutrition as a cause of failure to thrive.

Starter is for chicks, grower feed is for growing birds, All Flock is for a variety, layer is for birds laying eggs. However, there is a reason there is a breeder feed. That is to provide the extra nutrition beyond what is required to maintain body and produce eggs. Roosters, but especially hens, need to have extra nutrients to deposit in the eggs to make vigorous embryos and resulting chicks.
Has anyone tried Big Ol Bird (B.O.B.) Probiotics in the water for chicks or chickens? I'm trying it in their water for everyone tonight, read good things elsewhere, but can't seem to find anything on BYC about it (I'm sure I'm not doing the search right or something...)

Originally I used plain whole fat yogurt for probiotics.
Next, I used Bene-Bac powder for parrots and other cage birds.
Then I discovered Gro2Max. It's a probiotic powder that can be used in water or feed (I much prefer it in water). It was developed in Egypt and is specifically formulated for chickens.

I do like it. That's all I've used for a couple years. Except for occasionally adding kefir to the fermented feed.
I put Gro2Max in chicks first water and weekly thereafter. I haven't had pasty vent in a chick in the last 2 years.

I add a little Gro2Max in fermented feed and from time to time add it to adult water.
