Quote: CH, I think you were thinking of my Dumbledore:

He has recovered well - the white tail feathers are because of the injury:

And for fun, here are the 14 week old CL pullets who were in the February hatch. They all have some seriously goofy crests on them...

This is what happens when you let your guard down in close proximity
of a protective rooster @ bedtime with 5 hens in the coop with him &
you ain't wearing a glove. Good thing I couldn't reach him. No blood
drawn; just a decent blood blister.
Ow!

Here's a mean little bad tempered cockerel:

Here's what he did to me on the way to the killing cone Saturday:

Oh, and my friend's boyfriend's (large) puppy unexpected jumped up and tried to bite me (fortunately didn't get a mouthful). We had a long discussion about the need for obedience training. Meanwhile, yep, it hurts:

In other news, I got a few chores done today (including some of the mowing), but not nearly as many as I wanted to...). So it goes...

@Fire Ant FarmOuch.

@DwayneNLizI hope one of my three matures with good color. They have gotten more as they get older, but at two and four months they are young yet.
