I was just on incubator warehouses website this morning ordering another controller to replace the one that had the glitch earlier this week and I see that their fan/heater kits are now plug and play with the controller. This will make it simple easy for people who don't care for electricity.

Eh. Dozer is having more breakthrough seizures and I just don't know what to do anymore. We could change up his medicine, but from his last bloodwork his liver isn't having too good a time of the current... And all the medicine will cause liver/kidney issues. So my husband stayed up with him so I could get 4 hours of sleep (happened right after I went to bed at 1 am). And I think I'm passing kidney stones because since we moved in with the in-laws i haven't drank much water other than when i'm at work because their water tastes icky. So i'm hurting pretty good this morning. Life just can't let up sometimes, can it?

Well crap. I'm at day 6, and I just candled my 20 quail eggs, and all but 4 are clear. I used my phone flashlight, and they glow green, which is kinda neat, unless it means they're rotten!! Lol

Anyways, only 4 have a solid look to the end, the other 14 were clear. I also had two that cracked from the turner, I guess.

I was going to set them in egg cartons, but the dang eggs are just to small, and fall over to the side. So I cut a strip of foam off the egg carton and lined one side with it.

I returned all 18 eggs to the incubator, but I'm guessing there's no hope for the clears, right?

Well I decided to upgrade to a Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance EX the humidity pump seems to be a necessary upgrade and I have to much invested in eggs to struggle with the Genesis at least with shipped eggs. I hope I did the right thing... It should be here before my replacement eggs for the 0-12 BCM eggs and will come in handy for the Sky Blue Egg Araucana eggs I have coming in the spring.

oh no I am so sorry sweetie, awwww I am so sad for you. hugs. Can you run anywhere for some lemon, even a slice or two to add squeezed to your water? it will help you! trust me I know!!

I have 8 of their thermostats and have been very pleased. I have one cabinet that has their fan/heater combos in it and if/when I build another, I will put them in it too . I've always built the cabinets with light bulbs and a bathroom exhaust fan in the top sealed compartment. When I saw the plug and play setup this morning I thought, holy cow that is slick.

I think so, too. It pretty much takes all the guesswork out of building an incubator, and even a monkey could wire the thing up, so yeah... it's slick. LOL!

Sorry about Dozer. That's tough. As far as icky well water... got that. We've just resolved to drink bottled water. Yeah, lemon does help, as does a Britta filter.

Lazy gardener, I'd run a couple of 100W rough service bulbs. Computer fans, where do I start? I personally don't care for them. Honestly I'd use the fan/heater combos from IW and be done with it. Less to mess with and space spacings too.

We used one of those pitchers with the filter in the lid before we had the water conditioner fixed. Not sure if it was a Britta, but it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
