Ah. Those two in the dark photos...the blood vessels look like recent DIS and air cells look big. Hope I am wrong.
I rarely water candle, only 2 days late, and if two days late I only keep wigglers.
Leave them in! Seeing blood vessels in a couple..leave them in.I have 5 eggs, could only get pictures of 2. I can see blood vessels in 2 of them..... Not sure what to do at this point......

@Sally Sunshine are you talking about Joy? I went and dug up my old record keeping book…. Her mom started sitting on the nest part-time (she spent more time off than on) on the 15th of February 2012 (summer in SA). We started removing all the fresh eggs added to the nest when we saw her sitting and left the eggs she had under her. Joy hatched from those eggs on the 30th of March. (And darn near gave me a heart attack in the process as I was so sure those eggs were all dead and rotten by then). The latest I've had a "normal" broody hen chick hatch was due on a Monday, hatched Friday. I remember that because we named the chick Friday.
