Cool. I'm not either. It bit her on the middle knuckle of the middle finger on her right hand. After she told me where it was, I went there and caught it with my hands. It was a little over 1 foot. 13 inches to be exact. Here's the little bugger before it... uhm... "expired". Alive... Not so alive... The swelling stopped at her elbow after a night in CCU and 6 vials of anti-venom. This is the day after... Here's some more damage it caused...
That's enough to cause all sort of phobias.

Man, It's been a long day. I left for work at 6:45 and got home at 6:30. I was on my feet at day and I hurt all over.

I do have an awesome sister. She feed and watered my chickens and quail. And she went to the post office twice to pick up an egg package for me. The post office called to pick the eggs. But when she went the lady told here the package wasn't there so she went home and called me. I called the post office and found out the eggs were really there so they finally gave her the eggs on the second try. My daughter and I unpacked the eggs when I got home from work. I had visions of my seven year old dropping an egg. They are Barnevelder.

Hah!! Sure, I'm not scared of snakes.. How big was it??? More than 1 foot? And the spidey glasses are in the garbage... Tickets canceled... I don't want to go there anyway.. Lol!

Eek, glad she was ok! Good thing you got it-; I still think poisonus snakes are better dead than alive! Looks pretty pricey, but at least there is antivenom availible.

I have a snake pair under my coop, I almost stepped on those boogers a few times!

She recovered quickly after that. Same finger got slammed in a steel door a few days later, and she didn't know it until someone told her that her finger was bleeding.

Anti-venom is available, but be prepared for sticker shock if you ever need any. It's $10,000 per vial down here, and they administered 6 vials in one dose... and thought they might have to use another dose. The swelling stopped just as they were about to start another round...
