Sally, those were day 17 and a half..lol..silkie/SG, and day 6 for silkie/SG candled eggs. Different breeders brought me eggs.

He's out, was stuck to the membrane in spots. Plus feet are curled. Back in incubator to dry. Will wait and see. Should I put some ointment on the navel area?

Now I guess it is time to open up the air cell on the other one to check for signs of life.
Give the feet some time, they may keep them curled for a while, until they start to stand. I personally put ointment on my chicks naval.

I have 6 chicken eggs and 2 duck eggs that I will float test.

I had pretty much given up on them hatching, but was waiting it out a couple more days. So what was supposed to be their brooder is currently in use as a recovery ward for one of my turkeys that was beat up by the others on Tuesday.

Once I saw they had pipped cleaned up a dog crate/carrier for them to use with the homemade heat plate. Can't really use the heat lamp with the crate/carrier. Getting it all set up now.

Is there any other way to dry the duckling besides in the bator? The temp in there has dropped several degrees and is not seeming to climb back up.

Will have to check on the chick eggs, but they have all probably quit too. Set them to hatch the same day as the ducks, which should have been Sunday.
How long has the duckling been in the bator? I take my chicks out as soon as they're able to walk around. (usually between 12 and 24 hours, depends chick to chick.) If he's walking around you could probably take him out, and put him in the brooder. I don't have experience hatching ducks though, and I've heard they're a bit more fragile.

Still no babies ,the humidity and everything is staying steady, i keep saying come on little guys come on out but they are not listening very well :barnie
