The first one is one of my hatched girls, Oregano. She's a Ameraucana x Plymouth Rock White. She's a bit shy and skittish but she'll let me pick her up with some effort. The second is Kentucky, he's the Plymouth Rock, the founding rooster of all our hatched babies and he's a bit of a brat.He wasn't hand raised AT ALL and if you want to catch him you'd sooner have a heart attack. (although I have gotten lucky sometimes...
) The third is Mint, she's what I think is a New Hampshire Red x PRW. Either way she's a pretty chubby, laid-back girl.![]()
Parmesan is the one in the first photo here, he's definitely our most ornate rooster You can't see really here but has has a very full and fluffy tail that's full of iridescent feathers! The white rooster in the second photo is Tortellini, he's kind of my special baby. He's the only pure white rooster we've hatched so far, but he's bit skittish and thats the best photo I could get of him today. The third and last is Cardamon, I think she's the most beautiful hen I've ever hatched, I wish she wasn't feeling shy today! The picture really doesn't do he justice, but she's got those beautiful dark, smoky feathers and a full, fluffy, bearded face of her Ameraucana mom. I love her so much!![]()

8 clears?I set 22 and now have 14 at day 9
8 clears?
Yeah they have a pretty big run! I've been thinking of taking some photos and posting them in the coop section to see what people think. I wish we could free range all of them but there's so many predators like hawks, coyotes, and even our own dogs would get at them some how too. But they get lots of fresh hay every week and lots of sunshine and love!Very nice!. Looks like they have plenty of room, too
