In fact, I almost think it should be you guys who are warned! My poor family with the kind of pranks I pull on them.

you sound like a lot of fun Alex. Again welcome
That's wonderful! Architecture has been one of my primary interests since I was a young child, so I'm planning on sticking with that dream.

(the spider reference is the problem of spiders in both our coops)
Not anymore! This spectacular, wonderful, amazing cold snap has officially frozen that problem for me. My coop spiders are now decorative icicles.....

She is on 11 she pushed one out last night.
I dont have enough room in the run for a ramp but I could put a ledge on the front of the coop.
I still have my grow out brooder in the garage that I could put her and the chicks in when they come. I will need a bigger Silkie Bantam set up if they all hatch!

I wouldn't be able to control myself either I would be picking at it to but that's just me I can't help myself I'm to impatient
As long as my eggies are intended as layers and pets I will pick. Once I start trying to develop my SiAm flock I will have to be more patient as I will want only the strong chicks to hatch.
Hi everyone. I have a silkie that is Brooding her first eggs right now. They are due in about 2 weeks. I am wondering if I should move her? She is not having trouble with the other chickens in the pen but it is not a very *chick* friendly coop. They could fall out. It works for the older ones and they are happy in there for now. I am worried that if I move her out she will not find a place when I put her back, Especially if some of the eggs actually hatch.
Can you nail a small board across the bottom that the bigger birds can hop over but new chicks would be trapped behind?
