They make is work on a 3 way switch. .so was thinking timers that you can set 3 times a day.. have two.. 3 times up and 3 times down
Hmm... I didn't see that in the description or reviews. The only thing remotely close thing I found was this:
  • Unit can be controlled with a double pole, double throw switch or with the built-in position sensor and optional linear actuator programmable controller.
A timer would work, but it'll have to be set up to cut power the instant it trips the throw switch... or the actuator will reverse movement before the timer cuts it off. If it isn't set exactly right, the trays may swing to one position, and move partially in the other direction. Timing will be everything in order to get the eggs moved to the proper spot, which should happen in a matter of seconds. You'll need a decent digital timer to get the timing that precise. Perhaps there's someone here with a little more electrical experience, that may be able to tell you different.

Ya it might not be as simple as it sounds. . I'm gonna have to research it more

Hi guys, I hope you are all well. I have been too busy to be in the loop the last week.
I just got some new chicks. They are the smallest I have ever had (till next week's hatch). They are 5-7 weeks old. Three sapphire and three EE pullets.
I set them up in a corner of my big coop in a 54" dog crate. I put a box in the corner with straw in it and lined it with paper. What would you guys advise in the crate? I will put them in a separate coop when they are older, but the big coop is insulated and the winter coop.
Congrats on the new chicks! I assume your sayin they dont need heat? I think food water is good and some grit as they grow
Hello all id like a opinion on a egg turner motor for egg trays in a cabinet style.
I'm thinking this motor ..basically it powers up and powers down..
