Okay... Sally really needs to come back. This thread is getting weirder by the minute!!!

Soooooooo... what about those chickies??? I just put 3 horizontal water nipples in a plastic jug to water the chicks in the brooder. My chicks will be 3 weeks old tomorrow, and they had no trouble figuring out how to use the new waterer.

OK, THIS is crazy! It's an impossible situation, and self created to boot! If on one hand you say you can't kill the chicks by throwing out the eggs and on the other hand you say you won't be there if any (by some miracle) survive. No one can answer these questions, you are making NO sense!


Serious question to those who know.... Is there anyway to BLOCK POSTS, or users? I really appreciate this group, it's very helpful and informative and I really like the new friends I've met, but THIS stuff drives me crazy! I have seriously thought about unsubscribing just because holding my tongue is getting more difficult as the death toll rises!

of course it is! However, remember there are many pages to READBACK to understand a conversation. CH is itching for these comments sweets, we know him quite well at this point, saying one thing to get us riled up and then doing another just to get people posting and have fun with them. Its become a fine line at this point because we are not sure what to believe anymore. Examples are in the hundreds of pages before this. Start from the beginning and come back and let us know your thoughts as I guarantee you will see us as the best encouragerrrrrsss EVER!! I wouldn't say that if its not true.

Everyone on this thread has done an excellent job helping CH, EXCELLENT he had a better first hatch that almost all of us because of everyone. We have gotten to know him and as much as he acts like he does, he messes with us and in turn do the same with him, although in reading and what he is saying he is about to have it by me at this point, I have done nothing but encourage him and I am not liking his whiny posts I just read myself.

HE knew darn well he was getting those eggs, he plastered how happy he was about getting them what they would look like when they came! He knew darn well he needed to get a new thermometer, he knows darn well these chicks are lucky to be alive if they are at all since he had low temps for the first 5-7days, and I can go on and on. but I will leave that for him, in a message I am going to write in a moment since thats where I finally get answers from him that allow us to help him.

I am not judging you for posting at all, I am just making you aware that sometimes it pays to read-back and understand what is going on or ask, like Kathy did, or the many other email messages I have had asking about CH before they post and try to "help or discourage actions". I would never let anyone hurt another person should I be able to control it, and I have jumped in a few times and coddled CH a bit too much. So I am very guilty here and I will certainly admit that.

I am happy you joined us, you have great advise and would love for you to stick around and help out. Lord knows some of us need a break, but again I urge you to SERIOUSLY do a read back. It is THAT bad, yes THAT bad!
