@Sally Sunshine I was reading through the helpful links compilation that you have taken off this thread. The one thing I did not see was incubation times of the different eggs and how to compute the hatch day. For instance, not all ducks are created equal. There are different beliefs on what is actually day 1 so I thought maybe we could discuss what everybody thinks. So I will start off.

Let's say you set your eggs at 7am on Jan 1st. Is day 1 Jan 1st or Jan 2nd.

What if you set them at 7pm on Jan 1st?

I fly hard and fast on hatching and I'm probably not the best to ask to follow all the rules but I know how incubation works at my place. I will interject my thoughts here in a bit.
what did you figure out for this fire lol?

@RoxysAnimals how is your roo?

the recipe is very simple, I was the general manager of one store in Winnipeg.

1/2 cup white or brown sugar
1/2 cup cinnamon
3 cups finely crushed corn flakes.
Mix all ingredients together until very well blended.
spread out on cookie sheet.
scoop ice cream and form into ball by rolling on cutting board or counter.
roll ice cream ball through sugar, cinnamon and cornflakes mixture until well coated and place on cookie sheet in freezer for two hours minimum.
heat oil until 350-375 degrees, quickly remove ice cream ball from freezer and dip in hot oil with a slotted spoon for 10-15 seconds.
the key is to have the ice cream balls as frozen as possible, usually 24 hours in a deep freezer works well
you can reduce the ingredients to make a smaller amount, or simply freeze the left over topping and thaw it when you need to coat some more ice cream.
I forgot about making this!! will have to get some flakes and do it with the kids this week! thanks again cc!
