76 for the high down here.

Nope. I'm loving it! When I can walk around in a tee shirt, you won't hear me complaining... no, siree!!!

My air conditioner kicked on a few times today... which is strange for late December. I guess it's that dang global warming I keep hearing so much about!
Not sure Friday would agree with you, or CC

We pulled our A/C's in Oct.

Is this experimental or can you wash eggs to incubate?
Have you done this before?
It depends on how dirty the eggs are. While incubators are the perfect place to grow chicks, it's also the perfect place to grow bacteria. Egg shells have a bloom, or protective coating, that helps prevent bacteria from penetrating it, but it can only do so much. Filth that is caked up on the eggs harbors such bacteria, and should be removed before setting the eggs. No, it's not experimental... it's been done many, many times. That concludes our lesson. There'll be a quiz on the subject tomorrow!
