Me too. I'll be candling tonight probably, I had one that either quit or is the most developed and I want to get a picture for opinions.

So I started my cirst flock this year and just put five eggs in the incubator for the first time.

I can't tell roo from hen until they grow streamers.  I'm talking about the parents.  All the eggs I have set are from the 5 adults that I have.  

Oh, okay. I thought maybe you had discovered some ancient secret method for sexing day old silkies! :gig
All the breeders and silkie owners I know drive themselves nuts trying to decipher a sign or signal for sexing. :gig
 
Humidity will rise as they pip. The shells are porous, and they are starting to absorb and dry from internal pip to hatch, so yes, normal.
And no question is stupid except the one you don't ask! :highfive:

So that means they should pip soon or have started to?

Congrats on setting the eggs. And welcome to the thread! We must warn you though, setting eggs can and probably will become very addicting. If you are unfamiliar with chicken math, you will learn it very quickly! :lau
