we have some really good spray we use and it lasts all day Chaos! Husband used it in SC and didnt get a tick or a bugbite the entire time he hunted!

instead of Deet its permethrin ! and long lasting even during wash! Cabelas is just a few exits down so we get it there

I use that stuff (it's also available at wally world) for ticks. it's usually the flying ones that stay around your face and don't even land on you that irritate me. maybe it's the "I'm not touching you" that they keep saying that bugs me.

do you put it on your hat? with a cap it does well to keep them away! just wear a net like my mom does, she wears perfume and the bugs love her smells
