Yes using a HW thermo for now till the new gets here, no eggs till the bator works, the new run is done, and the coop also

build the run and coops 1st, then give the bator a go,

Sounds like me when I wasn't much older than her (before anyone says it, books had been invented when I was her age). I got the entire set of Zane Grey books for Christmas; had 75% of the first one read before the day was out...no pics, small print.

thats what I thought, that temp variance is normal those suck unless you drill them out and have them a quarter inch to the bulbs.
