Did you make some good head way on the new cabinet? If you posted some pics, I'll definitely do a back read for that!!! I always say I'm going to take more pics, then get wrapped up and next thing I know, I'm done.

A big advantage of my leg banding system is that I can tell the age of every bird by looking at the band color. I've used numbered bandettes a long time but always white cause I don't see that well in my old days. But changing the color each year was a real revelation.
With 6+ flocks of all black birds, naming is impossible - even if I did want to - which I don't.
It makes record keeping much more organized and the spreadsheets are neater.

That's a great idea!

Ravyn is right, I use a minimum of two digital and one mechanical thermos on my bators. the mechanical one is just for old times sake, and it keeps the digitals honest

yea i started off with two mechanicals, then saw that they were off, calibrated them two times, still wasnt satisfied so im goin to the store to get digital ones, how do i know the digitals are correct? urgh
i threw away mine from last year i didnt realize i would be hatchin this early and i really want my call ducks to hatch
