CH, we've been down this road before. Remember? In my opinion, and I'm sure the opinion of most folks here, you need to make sure your bator is acting as it should,over a couple weeks' span, before you even think about setting shipped eggs. Get some local eggs successfully hatched first; worry about shipped eggs and all their inherent problems later.

Just realized the eggs I set in the turner this morning I set point end up, they were just like that for about 5-6 hours I'm pretty sure they'll be okay but can someone reassure me? I don't want to sell messed up hatching eggs.

A small OEGB hen probably weighs about 500 grams, so the minimum dose of .2 mg/ kg would be: .5 x .2 / 18.7 = 0.005 ml, which is almost I'm possible to give. That max dose I would give one that size is 1mg/kg which is: .5 x 1 / 18.7 = 0.02 ml, which is about the size of a grain of rice. This 1mg/kg is an amount that pigeon fanciers use. -Kathy
