Thank you, Sally... I've studied that since December 10th...up one side and down the other. When I tried locating the air cells today (upon arrival), I had NO bearing on any of them... I went to find my bookmark to this page (with the candling) and I had trashed it. I just watched it for possibly the 300th time and I am still convinced my eggs either:
A) Have no air cells or
B) They have Day 18 AC

What d'ya say I throw them all in and see what happens...? Already a total rookie... I reallllllly needed to use the turner too, due to a surprise trip to the mountains and (hopefully) a house sitter that can handle two days of egg sitting on Days 6,7 and half of 8. UGH!

REMINDER~ Never Set COLD eggs in the incubator.

BELOW ARE "SADDLE" SHAPED AIR CELLS
SADDLE SHAPED AIR CELLS are very COMMON with shipped eggs!

Saddle shaped is when one or both sides have a large "dip" in the air cell. A lot of times with saddle shaped cells the chick doesn’t position correct for hatching and their feet can easily get stuck behind their head and “smoosh” the chick so they can’t move, it can also force the yolk sack and everything more north in the shell.... Keep a close eye on these eggs and its VERY important to pencil mark Air cells!

Saris would beg to differ LOL I sure did sweetie!!! we are on!!! fun and games night lol @scottcaddy been thinking while I was washing puppies.... You know I had a mean roo, and I cut his spurs back real far with a dog clippers, and used quickstop, he was scared crappless of me ever since..... and you can cut the beak a bit too, po him more and at least he dont have a real sharp beak, clip all his nails down too!!!! If you go the opposite way, get fresh mealworms at the store and tame him, but that never worked with our mean silkie roo. :hugs :D I wish I could! only now getting some eggs since April! and I will need to set any I get! still trying to get the flock back up after I had to sell most cause I was sick. Wonder if Hawk12 has any, message her and check.
Okay, thanks!

Is there any way for you to candle the eggs , take pictures and post them here?

400

Please help! This little bit hatched on its own in about an hour. Foot was in in absorbed yolk. Most of yolk seems to have leaked away and now looks like intestines and innards. What should I do? This is my first baby to hatch.

LOL! Yes I am building a cooler bator. That is about as far as my building skills go. I have been looking around at designs and know what I want

so I will probably start to order stuff in the spring once I sell eggs and start my EE serama project! But it is for sure going to happen
