Did she stop laying eggs? It could be EYP (egg yolk peritonitis) or internal laying, their are some bacteria that can cause sudden death in chickens, it could be also a fatty liver problem, keep a close eye on the outer chickens for the next few days. NOOO, You with a flashlight ALWAYS candle from the FAT end/air cell so it shines down through that open space,

AGAIN, put flashlight on FAT end/aircell and hold egg upright/fat end up and do not turn or rotate egg, rotate flashlight!

I'm on a roll tonight. Just updated the layout of the blog and working on reviewing my recipes online so they are more user-friendly. I'm having to translate them to have both metric and US measurements for my worldwide audience and I'm also putting them in my family recipe book. SUPER busy!

Ok, I was looking at the Monteray Bay aquarium site, (Super Cool aquarium here in CA) and found this pic of them candling a penguin egg!
