Now that I have your attention, let's do something a lot easier. Did you read my post about the water wiggle? The ear thermometer will work very good with one of those. It will not measure the air temp in your incubator. Did you find the directions to calibrate your thermometers? Calibrating your thermometers should be the first thing on your list.
Since the viewing window is exposed to cooler temp on the outside, and being closer than the intended object being measured, the temp measurement will most likely be lower than the actual value.
