Those are big enough to be outside.

Haven't had them outside because we've had highs the last 2 weeks in the 20's and lows in the negatives before wind chills. Once it gets about the 30's they will go out to the coop.

I got them because i was tired of waiting on the chickens to start lay.
6 weeks with quail and I was in eggs!

You have no idea how tempted I am - and I can get baby quail chicks year round just up the road in Bandera, too.

But I have to get all chicken-housing-in-progress finished before starting in on quail housing/flight pens...

(I can tell I'm in a group of enablers - I guess poultry math would be the more inclusive term...)

Is there anything in an egg except an air cell that could be saddle-shaped? I don't know...
